I had a great weekend during Cobra IM 70.3 held on Aug.14, 2011 cheering with my Team. After a year, a was able go back in CamSur. Ironman 70.3 was over and what's next for the province of Camarines Sur? For triathlon is done but not for runners. Yes, there is another event that something to look forward to, the Summit Camsur Marathon on September 25, 2011.

The race is an AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) accredited race, therefore it is a qualifier to all AIMS races (including the prestigious Boston Marathon!) Other than that, the event’s race route/course is an IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation) certified race course.

The race is aiming 20,000 participants. For each registered runners, Camsur Gov. El Rey Villafuerte will plant 10 trees.

Race host venue is the Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC). You have 5 choices of distances to choose from. 3km and 5km for Php400.00, 10km for Php500.00, 21km & 42km for local at Php850.00, 21km for international at Php2,000.00 and 42km for international at Php2,500.00.
