Give 500 Smiles on Nov. 6!

Filipinos by nature love to laugh and smiles a lot. Even when there's a calamity hitting us, we still manage to smile but how about those people suffering from congenital facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate?

In the Philippines, it is estimated that one in every 500 babies are born every year with a cleft lip, a cleft palate or both. This translates roughly to 4,004 Filipinos out of 2.064 million born every year having this deformity.

Join us for Miles for Smile: the 500 Smile Run on November 6, 2011 for the Kick-Off of Operation Smile. The more runners we have, the more smiles we can give.

Before and After

Operation Smile will celebrate its 30th anniversary on November 2012 with a special homecoming mission to the Philippines to give back to the country that gave birth to what is now a global children's medical charity organization that has changed the lives of thousands of children and young adults around the world suffering cleft lip and cleft palate.

You can be part of the volunteers by simply joining the 500 Smile Run. You can give a life changing for at least 1,500 Filipino children and young adults to have their self esteem high.
