Taped! by Rocktape!

When was it in style on using the elastic therapeutic tape by athletes or by ordinary people? Perhaps it is being used in the hospital by physical therapists without us knowing that taping can be also beneficial to athlete’s performance especially if they have an injury, swollen, tender or soreness muscles.  According to history, the popularity of therapeutic tape happened in 2008 Beijing Olympic when USA donated 50,000 rolls to 58 countries and being seen applied in the athletes who participated.

Back in 2010, I tried using therapeutic tape when I had a knee pain and when I was doing long distance running. As you can see in the picture below. Back then I already knew that therapeutic taping is effective and improves your performance in anyway and it eases the pain.

Last December 12, 2012, I was invited to the Blogger’s Launch of Intercare Healthcare and Rocktape Phils. to introduce the services and the new brand of elastic therapeutic tape, Rocktape. The brand originated from United States. Compare to the brand I use, I observed that Rocktape is much thicker.  It has better elasticity and better acrylic adhesive. Everyone in the launch has given an opportunity to try the services of Intercare.

There’s a lot of therapeutic tape brand in the market but the brand that I’ve been using never lasts longer especially when it gets wet especially in my sports of triathlon.  You can't avoid not to get wet in the swim, bike, run.

But Rocktape has made from unidirectional cotton fiber weave designed to mimic the normal elasticity of our connective tissue thereby providing stronger support and less allergic reactions. Stretches up to 180% of original length, 40-50% more than any tape in the market. Providing better support. Stronger adhesive so the support is there when you need it.

Few days before the launch, I had a sprained ankle and this is the right time to have it checked and taped! Randy, the PT, said let it stay for 3 to 4 days and even if it gets wet, the adhesive won’t get off. True enough after 3 days, it still stick perfectly. I still felt the support to my ankle.

Rocktaped!

Choose your Rocktape design. There is a lot of design to choose from.
